The Trump administration has been harsh towards China, but now China is beginning to take power over the U.S. government.

“China is sending an Envoy and Delegation to North Korea – A big move, we’ll see what happens!” President Donald Trump tweeted on the 16th. It is probably China’s way of trying to enter talks with North Korea, but the ‘talks’ method is what China has long been proposing in dealing with North Korea.

In his visit to China in November, Trump signed a US$250 billion deal, which might also signify the U.S. capitulating to China’s sweet talk.

U.S. Businessmen Are on Tsinghua University’s Advisory Board

Chinese President Xi Jinping is clearly trying to absorb U.S. business circles.

In October after the close of the National Congress of the Communist Party, Xi met with the advisory board of his alma mater, Tsinghua University’s School of Economics and Management.

The board consists of approximately 50 members, the core members being millionaire businessmen from Europe and the U.S. One of the central board members, Stephen A. Schwarzman, CEO of The Blackstone Group, is so pro-China he even has a Chinese name, and has donated large sums to the institution. He and Xi got along well during the President’s visit to the Board.

Other advisory board members include many famous names from the U.S. business world:

• James Dimon, CEO of JP Morgan Chase
• Dominic Barton, Managing Director of McKinsey & Co
• Mary T. Barra, CEO of General Motors Company
• Tim Cook, CEO of Apple Inc.
• Elon Musk, CEO of SpaceX
• Mark Zuckerberg, CEO of Facebook

Xi Jinping is said to be on intimate terms with these members.

Pro-China Faction Eats Into Trump Administration

These powerful pro-China people have hitherto been inducing the Trump administration to take a pro-China route.

When trump created the Strategic and Policy Forum, Stephen Schwarzman became the chairman, with other members including James Dimon and Elon Musk. Trump disbanded the Forum in August of this year, but it still has a powerful hold over what happens in the government.

Even inside the administration, Trump’s daughter Ivanka and her husband Senior Advisor Jared Kushner, are said to be pro-China. It is Chinese investors who have been helping Kushner’s real estate business, and Ivanka’s fashion brand. Ivanka Trump produces shoes made in a Guangdong factory.

Their three children learn Mandarin, and upon President Trump’s visit to China, Arabella Kushner sang in Mandarin with a Chinese dress and recited ancient Chinese poetry.

Gaining Profit Eventually Brings Recompense

For the U.S. business circles, China is a great potential market of 1.4 billion consumers. Even Trump, who seeks to correct the unilateral U.S.-China trade situation, probably sees it that way.

China is also an invaluable ally in ending North Korea’s nuclear and missile developments. Trump is being overwhelmed by pro-China pressure and a complex world situation, causing him to lose his firm hold against China.

When Xi Jinping said, “the broad Pacific Ocean is vast enough to embrace both China and the United States”, he implied his ambition to split the world into two halves: China and the U.S.

If the U.S. continues to be distracted by profit, that rises the likelihood that China will come to dominate the world.

A country whose security is being threatened by China’s military expansion is Japan. Therefore, Japan need not be distracted by the idea of profit, and thus has the right to demand tighter control against China. Japan must also contribute to this by amending Article 9 and legislating the holding of nuclear weapons to strengthen state security as much as possible.
