The U.S. and North Korea are both preparing for war on the Korean Peninsula. North Korea is in the midst of developing a nuclear missile that can reach the U.S. mainland, and they only have a little further to go until completion.

Following the five nuclear tests they conducted in September last year, North Korea seems to have succeeded in making a nuclear warhead small enough to attach to ballistic missiles.

In March this year, North Korea succeeded in its launch engine experiment, getting ever closer to developing a new ICBM to target the U.S. mainland. They are also developing Submarine-launched ballistic missiles for surprise attacks.
Their experiments have become increasingly frequent in what appear to be attempts to provoke the rest of the world. They aimed and fired four missiles at the Sea of Japan in March, one of which landed very close to the Japanese shore.

On the 15th of April North Korea displayed a new missile model in the military parade celebrating the 105th anniversary of Kim Il-sung’s birth: a threat to ward off a possible preemptive strike by the U.S.

The U.S. Wants China to “Solve the North Korean Problem”

Trump cannot allow North Korea to continue nuclear tests and missile experiments in order to develope a missile that has the potential to reach the U.S. mainland.

In mid-April, Trump executed a missile strike on the Assad regime in Syria when it became known that Assad had used chemical weapons against his own people. China and North Korea can now see what will happen if they cross the line.

That being said, unlike Syria, North Korea has sufficient power to counterattack against the U.S., Japan and South Korea. This is exactly why Trump wants China to stop supplying energy resources and food supplies to North Korea to put pressure on its neighbor. He wants China to help “solve the North Korean problem”.

To an uncooperative China, Trump tweeted “If China decides to help, that would be great. If not, we will solve the problem without them!”

Trump sent a powerful fleet of ships led by the USS Carl Vinson supercarrier to the Korean Peninsula. SEALS support vessels have also been deployed in Okinawa. Trump is preparing so he can take immediate action whenever the need arises.

The Justice That Stops Evil

The Trump administration is facing the ultimate decision: whether to leave North Korea alone and risk the lives of hundreds of millions of Americans, or strike their missile development plants and risk an accidental discharge of North Korea’s missiles. The latter will also risk the lives of those in South Korea and Japan, including the U.S. troops that are stationed there.

In the worst-case scenario, it could trigger the Second Korean War putting the lives of 50,000 American and 500,000 South Korean soldiers in danger. If we add civilians, the estimated death toll is over 1 million (according to OPLAN 5027).

While Trump told Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe that he would consult with Japan about any proposed military action, Abe’s views are not likely to change Trump’s mind.

In the name of international justice the god-loving President will surely not let the deranged leader of North Korea have free rein. Japanese politicians must stop relying on the U.S. and come up with defense policies that can actually protect the Japanese people.
