“No problem is too big for God to handle”: President Trump Turns to Prayer for Overcoming Coronavirus Pandemic

Main points of the article:

  • Faith in God to rid fear
  • “No problem is too big for God to handle”
  • How to practice faith to take away fear and strengthen immunity

Amid the coronavirus outbreak throughout the world, President Trump declared a national emergency. Following the declaration, he proclaimed March 15 as a National Day of Prayer and encouraged Americans to unite in prayer.

“We are a Country that, throughout our history, has looked to God for protection and strength in times like these,” President Trump tweeted on March 14. “No matter where you may be, I encourage you to turn towards prayer in an act of faith.”

The White House announced a proclamation on that same day. The abridgement of the proclamation is as follows:

Cast All Your Care Upon God

  • As we continue to face challenges posed by the coronavirus pandemic, millions of people are unable to gather in houses of worship, but we must not cease asking God for added wisdom, comfort, and strength. We must especially pray for those who have suffered harm or who have lost loved ones.
  • As your President, I ask you to pray for the health and well-being of your fellow Americans and to remember that no problem is too big for God to handle.
  • We should all take to heart the holy words found in 1 Peter 5:7: “Casting all your care upon him, for he careth for you.”

For with God, Nothing Shall be Impossible

  • Let us pray that all those affected by the virus will feel the presence of our Lord’s protection and love during this time. With God’s help, we will overcome this threat.
  • As we unite in prayer, we are reminded that there is no burden too heavy for God to lift or for this country to bear with His help. Luke 1:37 promises that “For with God nothing shall be impossible,” and those words are just as true today.
  • As one Nation under God, we are greater than the hardships we face, and through prayer and acts of compassion and love, we will rise to this challenge and emerge stronger and more united than ever before. May God bless each of you and the United States of America.

The Ultimate Cure to Illness: Faith

“No problem is too big for God to handle,” said President Trump, as he urged the versatility of God. He also encouraged people to pray for those affected by the virus, and changed the Day of National Prayer to March, even though it was scheduled for the first week of May.

There are three key points that we can take away from President Trump’s proclamation.

1.President Trump bows down to God Almighty

The first point is in the way he thinks of his presidential position as a “messenger of God.” This doesn’t just apply to Trump; past U.S. presidents have called out to its people in times of crises under God’s name.

As political scientist Hannah Arendt claimed as the foundation of democracy, these figures understood that while citizens hold the power to elect their president, the final authority lies in God. Many people argue that President Trump is a dictator, but does it really apply to President Trump who bows down to God Almighty and prays for added power?

2.President Trump aims to create a religious nation by revitalizing freedom of faith

The second point is in his intention to revitalize the U.S. as a religious nation at a time when many liberals advocate atheism and overprotect human rights of Islamic and LGBT communities to name a few.

In the U.S., people are starting to argue that it is wrong for Christians to pray to God in public places and schools because of their diverse, tolerant society. This is a violation of religious freedom as proclaimed in the U.S. Constitution, and it is resulting in the persecution of Christians. President Trump is looking to restore people’s rights to pray to God in public places and turn around the nation’s path to materialism.

3.Protect your faith to heal illnesses

The third point is that by encouraging people with the power pf prayer to God Almighty, he brought about true tranquility to the people who fear the coronavirus.

This prayer has physical power. Happy Science CEO Master Ryuho Okawa has been repeatedly teaching that faith has the power to strengthen one’s immunity. In a lecture titled “How to Strengthen Your Immunity,” given in February, he said the following:

“Your immunity is extremely weak when you’re in a state of fear or separation from faith, so you can strengthen your immunity by living as though you are an angel of God’s light. ‘Protect myself as long as I have a mission to fulfill,’ is the kind of mindset that will get rid of malicious things within your body.”

In addition, R.A. Goal who claims to be space’s messiah spoke of the coronavirus as a “communist virus” in Spiritual Investigation of China-Originated Coronavirus Infection.

“In other words, there exists an ‘immunity through faith.’ If you have ‘faith in God,’ you’ll have immunity. You won’t die,” Goal said.

The U.S. is becoming increasingly materialistic as Democrats’ policies focus on protecting the minority and taking God out of the picture altogether. Amid the materialistic movement, President Trump ignores political correctness and encourages that unwavering faith in God Almighty is the key to savior.

It is uncertain as to how the American people will take in President Trump’s words, but it seems like the depth of the pandemic will depend on the American people’s reacquisition of faith.
