Many world leaders who have made big decisions in recent years have, on occasion, been likened to Adolf Hitler: U.S. President Trump, Russian President Putin, China’s chairman Xi Jinping, North Korean leader Kim Jong-un, and Japanese prime minister Shinzo Abe.

And Germany is still being criticized for the Third Reich over 70 years later. This is stopping Germany from becoming more of a leading force within the EU.

Master Ryuho Okawa, the founder of Happy Science, recorded a spiritual message from the German philosopher Martin Heidegger (1889-1976) under the heading “Will A Second Hitler Appear?” Heidegger is understood to have supported Nazism, as he was appointed the Rector of the University of Freiburg after the Nazi Party began its totalitarian rule.

The Chancellor of Germany, Angela Merkel, held a talk with U.S. President Donald Trump for the first time in Washington DC on the 17th March. As we think about the future of Germany, Heidegger’s spiritual message about Nazi Germany may give us some food for thought.

Hitler Restored Germany through Keynesian Financial Policy

In its early stages the Nazi party didn’t try to invade other countries or start wars. A world economic crises had thrown over 6 million Germans into unemployment, taking the unemployment rate to 34%. Their focus would naturally be on rebuilding the country.

Three months after coming to power, the Nazi party announced their plan to construct the Autobahn, a federal controlled-access highway that would run through the whole of Germany. They issued a huge amount of government bonds to fund public investment, and as a result, the unemployment rate dropped significantly.

They also provided loans for public enterprises and small companies, and support for poor farmers. The number of unemployed dropped from 6 million to close to zero. In just 3 years, the Nazi party restored Germany.

This was Keynes’ approach to financial policy: stimulating demand to circulate money. Displaying a great aptitude for economics, Hitler gathered much support from the people of Germany. In a sense, this was a natural consequence of what he had achieved. The spirit of Heidegger commented on this:

“Many people of Germany watched Hitler as he restored Germany between the end of WWI and the beginning of WWII. This was the general sentiment amongst Germans at the time. 90% of the people thought this way. When Germany lost in WWI and signed the Treaty of Versailles, Germany had to pay huge sums for reparation, so the Germans were angry with the WWI victors. They were vexed.”

 
But it is also true that from the very outset, Hitler had been planning not only the restoration of Germany but also the invasion of Europe. And his motive was devil-like. Hitler’s acts of invasion are unforgivable.

Ethnicism to the Persecution of Jews

Ancient Germanic religion is part of the spiritual workings behind Hitler’s invasion of other countries. History has revealed that, long ago, Christians destroyed the native German religion of the Druids. Hitler was receiving spiritual power from this ancient Germanic religion. This was what allowed a poor failed art student to become the Führer of Germany.

Hitler’s ethnicism and state socialism led to the persecution of the Jews. But why were the Germans unable to stop persecuting the Jews? The spirit of Heidegger gave us an explanation:

“From a pure Christian’s viewpoint, the Jews are a stubborn people that denied and persecuted Jesus. They are a group of ‘idiots’ who destroyed their country . . . everyone holds the impression that they are ‘a country that brings misfortune’ . . . the purer he is, a Christian would really hate the Jews.”

What then, is the difference between a normal leader and a Hitler-like leader?

According to the spirit of Heidegger, it is ‘being learned in global culture’, and the person who is currently closest to becoming a Hitler-like leader is chairman of China, Xi Jinping.

“Like Hitler, Xi Jinping is unlearned. Unlearned. He has never done farming in the countryside. That’s why he doesn’t know enough to lead 1.3 billion people . . . It looks like he is trying to become like an emperor from ancient times.”

Germany must not strengthen economic ties with China to stop their growing menace. Germany is an incredible country that has produced some of history’s greatest people, like Kant, Einstein and J. S. Bach. Germany must rip off their ‘evil country’ label and regain national pride.

Germany should have the courage and enthusiasm to take up responsibility for the EU. They must give up their austerity measures that reflect a self-harming view of history, and begin to make Germany a greater country.
